Science is magic event

We had such a great time making beautiful tie dye creations with the kids today.  Here is how the process works.

First step: Wet the fabric and then find a friend and twist away until you get as much water squeezed out as you can. 

Second step:  This is the hardest step... decided what design you want... we had several fun ideas to pick from at the tying station.  

Once you pick it out, it's time twist, scruch, pinch or whatever is required and add the zip ties or rubber bands to hold everything in place.

Step Three: The best part... adding your favorite colors

Step Four: wrap it up and take it home.  

Kids were sent home with a set of instructions to follow at home to finish the project.
